Been trying to sell mine, but I don't think I would rent it for $10k. Finding a 45 for 10k is going to be pretty rough or newer import. $10k is a full paint job these days.

They can have mine for $50k and sell it for that or more after.

Heck if it's in Austin I can even deliver it when I come down to Fredericksburg for Christmas.

Usually movies have a bigger budget than 10K for such a prop.

Sorry I didn't clarify, he said he needed a pickup and wanted to buy it. I asked this twice specifically vs renting. He's in MN - I gave him Poser's name and he already talked to Steve. He said he could do some work on it , doesnt need to be pristine.

Basically, he has to go buy the truck, then he rents it to the production crew. When they are done he sells the vehicles. Sounds like a good business to be in!

But he still has to find one for $10K to do the job. It sounds like he set the $10K price not the production company. Not sure who would sell knowing the buyer was going to rent the truck and then plan on flipping it. Production company would probably do better renting directly from a owner. Could get a nicer truck than a $10K 45 pickup. Owner makes some money and still has his truck. Win win for everybody but the middle man.
