I ordered aluminum corners, but received quarters instead.
If I decide to keep them, what is the best way to secure them to a 40?

I am planning on having the tub painted over after armor is fastened.

all input is appreciated,

Aluminum armor....

Attached a set of corrosion generators with stainless button head allens to a customers truck...

Would not ever do it again, to anything.

Good luck!

nothing corrodes in the desert but paint and tourists :)

if you are using aluminum fasten with aluminum, BTW I would paint behind the plates, nothing worse than mixed metals.

What about durabak?

What about using a bedliner product without the granuals between the 2 metals? Thought durabak had this option but there is always the can spray stuff.

I'm going to return the Quarters, and exchange them for Corners...since my tub quarters are fine (and they made the mistake on the order).

as far as the install, it sounds like the following will do nicely:
thoroughly clean all surfaces
apply por-15 to corner and aluminum corner armor
use aluminum, stainless rivets or stainless bolts to fasten aluminum armor to tub

I believe I will have to make some cut-outs for rear door hinges?

thank you all for the input,

I used aluminum rivets on mine, but I'm with Poser, I wouldn't do it again. I would fix the rust if that's yer issue. I don't think it enhances the look in the end.

Hammerhead and I think Alum checkplate looks cheesy. Yuppies and other warped mentalities get a woody when they see it though because it's shiney. They will put it on over unblemished paint and sheet metal to make it "look" tuff. If I absolutely had to put some on I'd at least paint it so it doesn't stand out.
Fix the rust if you can, don't promote it.
