I have an rabbit distress call if yall want to borrow it (old school tape and speaker system). Depending when it its, I would love to come...been a LONG time since I've shot any distance. My father had a burrow to help deal with his yote problems.

Lets see, hook up speakers to ARB bull bar. Check. Insert tape of distressed bunny. Check. Strap Juice to roof rack. Check. Hand Juice AR-15, scoped, with a banana magazine. Check. Coyote problem solved in Georgia!

Just checked the Game Regs in Ga. and there is apparently no closed season or limit on Coyotes, even time of day! I do think that to even hunt varmits, we may have to get a one or three day license. They appear to be available on line and very reasonable.

This is starting to sound like an episode of My Name is Earl.
However, I am still tempted to join in on this romp through the woods, Springfield M1A in hand.

Hell no....I might bring an armory...Springfield M1 Garand (Korean era)....Rock River AR15.....300 WinMag......plus handguns....like to shoot one coyote but really want the hogs...with handgun or my bow. :D :D

Me too

count me in too. Can we drive the kills to Va and cash them in?

I still have my coyote calling rig from Colorado....speakers and battery powered CD.

Always wondered what my 338 Ultra would do to a Yot>>>>> Actually I usually use the 22-250

With Gearwebguy in, the Coyotes are dead dogs! There is a TT article in this, and I call dibbs on writing it!

um,,, this is starting to scare me....12 guys are signed up with out clemson55, wheres Marshall?

I will have to talk it over with Cleve, and see what number of hunters is managable, he has a huge amount of land he leases, but I am not sure what he can hunt, or would feel comfortable hosting. Maybe we can set up a few different hunts and rotate guys out as they are available

The customer's land is on the GA side. My discussions with the local GW in Royston said, "kill'em, if you are going to hunt at night, try to call me so I dont come out for no reason,,," , we have lost 40 turkey and about 4 goats, as well as over 1k$ in vet bills. I am against having dogs run around outside the house outside pens, BUT I can say we have not had any animal loss from predators (other than the mini pygmy that we think was picked up by a hawk or bobcat) since we have 4 dogs running our property,,, I hate the idea of losing one on the road.... and everyso often the coyotes are THICK here

I have permission from some land owners that are contiguous to our 48 acres, and if a few of you guys wanted to come down and scount and then set up on a sunday afternoon/evening and try to call a few yotes in, I would be willing to set it up at our house or at a neighbors property, I think one guy owns 400 acres that backs up to the broad river, but need to verify this.

Ill keep researching and post up what I find out

I think you would need to divide the land up into sections....assign a certain number to a large section...and then that smaller group would assign themselves a sub-section and the rule would be no walking or movement outside of your section for safety reasons..and when moving you need orange on...while hunting sitting or standing still you can have full camo.

that much activity in the woods is going to be noticed by wildlife....so the quiet, meticulous hunters will get action and the others will ensure the animals skirt their area and walk unknowingly into the others sights.

Basic gun safety of not shooting anything you cannot 100% identify...no shooting towards known roads or homes...and some restraint as this is not a public shooting range to spray rounds downrange but rather a hunting trip. We need to have that mentality....

Just give me the thickest swampy area to hunt in or near and I will be happy....

If you're gonna have that many hunters down there everyone should have bright orange on all the time so you don't get shot standin up to take a piss!

yeah depends on how much of 7000 acres we would have access to....i usually hunt private and have never worn orange when varmint hunting...not sure what impact it would have on success...but I am more interested in hogs so give me a mudhole or feeding area and I will plop my butt on the ground, set up a ground blind or hang a stand...

SAFETY has to be a primary concern though with getting this many people on same place at same time with some good coordination, strict rules and communications ability....at a minimum.

sorry for hijacking

Not having camo or wearing blaze orange will have little effect on the hogs. They are kinda near-sighted (blind), but they have a nose like a god....

I got a .300 wby mag to reach out and touch one if need be, DPMS AR, and Beretta 9 mike mike and i'm willin to shoot whatever comes my way. Uncle Sam taught me two things, how to s%*t in the woods and how to shoot s%#t.

yeah...have hunted a few hogs the past 40 years. Meant varmints like coyote...i dont consider hogs varmint hunting.

Wow, two days away and I got on the bottom of the list.
Add me to your list, civvy M4 with red dot and Ruger new model mini-14 which I will scope for this. I'll leave the Rem 30-06 at home, the hunters can have the hogs, I'll go for the dogs.

I'm in. I'd rather not hunt for the boars or coyotes. Sounds like you have plenty people who are willing to shoot each other. I'll come and hunt snipes. I've had good luck hunting them. Basically I bring a chair and sit by the car with a cooler beside me. I make sure that I have plenty of beef jerky and beer on hand. The sound of beers being opened and the smell of farts coming out my ass usually attacts more snipes than I can handle. That's why I use a TV with a ball game on to keep some away. Any way when they get close enough I throw beer cans at them. It's usually enough to kill them.

It's hard work but there is nothing more rewarding than keeping an area snipe free.

Let me know if this is okay.
