I might have an engine next weekend, so maybe I can come! YAY I hope it comes in, I will know for sure tomorrow. Hey steve, we were thinking about welding the hole in the oil pan shut, but that is a no go because the fact that it is huge and my bro doesn't think it would seal right! Hope to see you all soon. I know this is super hard time to get out and wheel....So anyone that wants to go let me know which day you can make it....got it narrowed down to either the ,23,27...Some one pick a day that they can make itand I'll be there with my girl and my lil bro. and 2 cruisers...

I thought i was good to go, but just can't pull it off due to work, family and a couple other things. I'm bummed.

The Landcruiser wants too go wheeling. Told me so last night!
I was coming back from Gainesville on I75 last night when my Cuiser started sputtering and losing power a few miles from the 326 exit. I was able to make it to the exit and died as I pulled into the Pilot station where we usually meet for Aplpha runs.
Was just a clogged filter, changed it and we were back on the road again. But freaky it happened right there.

Bwahaha....its cool dude. i know its a super hard time of year to get out and wheel so no razzin ya this time for not showing. We will still have 2 trucks so I think we will be OK....famous last words.

Alpha pit time! I swear Al!!!!

Alright...Mr. No Show is putting on the gloves for clutch time. Friday Dec. 23rd works for me...i might get a late start cuz i'll prolly be getting off work the night before around 3:30am, but it won't stop me! I swear!!!!
lol...anyhow, if you choose friday, i'll be there. My cruiser's starter just took a dive (due to me using it as a boat), but i'm replacing the plunger and contacts, pretty sure it'll be new again, or almost.
I'll be trailering the cruiser though with the dodge...so just help me find a place to stash the truck/trailer for the day.
I might have a guest or two also. And i won't forget my camera either.

Are you taking the 80 out there to give it hell? Whats the deal with a lifted rig? Sounds like fun :D

In the past it hasn't been a problem to leave trailers/trucks at the Pilot station. friday the 23rd could work for me. more so than tues the 27th, gotta be back in the office.
 
appreciate it mike...i dont have a problem leaving the rig their at the station. Sounds like a plan to me.
Again, the 23rd!!! Make it happen Al!!! I gotta work the 27th also. Secret: 24th is my Bday, so wife can't argue with wheeling as a gift! lol

No of course not, but I'm sure it will get a few battle wounds before it gets its exo cage ;)
 
ugh...I have to pick family up at the airport the 23rd. Maybe. So You guys might be able to go with out me...if not I can still make the 27th....to close to tell for the 23rd but will update soon...

The 27th would be better for me too, although I'm not sure. I should have the 1.6L in, and maybe a new rear bumper since I took out the last one on a tree in the shores. I dont know though, I'd have to drive the zuk there so I would probably want to baby it.
 
Alpha Al and the legend of the 23rd

I'm pretty stoked bout the 23rd if yall can't tell...i would hate to not be able to wheel with the legendary Velveeta one more time for 2005, but i would also hate to miss alpha pit every single time this year so far!!!
I'm game if anyone else can join. I'm pretty sure Mike is in on the 23rd. Ima trying to convince Nullifier (brian) to come too! If someone else is willing to be somewhat of a "trail guide" in Al's place, great. if not, just hook us up with directions (through the secret IH8mud Trail Police Bat cave frequency of course) to the exact spot. Unless of course i'm talking out my ASS again & Mike or someone else committed on the 23rd already has em. Anyhow, lets do it.
 
I am game for the 23 or 27.. I have a farm about 5 minutes away from Alpha Pits, if anyone wants to leave their trailers and stuff there, and if anyone is going to camp out or anything, it wont be a problem. i remember how to get to alpha pits..
Chuck D, are you going to do the drive through the forest again?... I am game for that also..

Nearby farm for truck, trailer, and rest stop??? Too sweet...appreciate it man! Today is Monday, i don't know how many of yall are dead set on going. So here's my cell in advance:
