Anyone recognize this thermostat housing?

Reposting from the FJ40 forum. Toyota sent me this thermostat housing by mistake, and according to Beno, this is a FJ25 thermostat housing, part # 16333-60020. Does anyone here recognize this part? If so, can you tell me what years it covers? One curiosity is that the other ones I've seen don't have a port on the back of the neck like this one does.

I am not sure about the extra port but If you decide to sell it, I would be interested in it.

I've seen them both ways, with and without the threaded port. Also with a threaded connection at the bypass rather than a spout. I believe the replacement always come with the extra port, bought one a long time ago and that's the way it came. Was it mistagged or in the wrong bin?

Top one is an old one. The bottom one was a brand new replacement about 13 years ago.

I have no idea. I ordered 4 pieces of 16333-61020 ('76 to '79 California spec), and they sent me these instead. They must have missed the second "1", in the part #.

Do you recall what was the part # on yours? What is the intended purpose of the port?

Lucky I can recall that the original crumbled and at that time I didn't have an inventory of parts on hand. Most likely got OEM through SOR. I've never seen the port used, always a plug in it.

Just checked SOR, and it says the part is discontinued. It's funny because the part I originally ordered (for my online store) was unavailable, so my supplier submitted a build to order request, and they ended up building this part that is supposed to be no more.

Great find Henry, wondering if this housing will fit to a later F / 2F engine blocks. Are these available in Oz? I am looking for one.
