Anyone put an NV 4500 in their FJ60?
Just curious what parts you used and where your engine sits in the engine compartment.

I’m considering using a GM bell housing / internal slave cyl, /GM NV 4500 trans/ AA transfer case adaptor in my 83 FJ60.
I’m putting it behind a 6.2 diesel, but still would like to hear your approach even if the engine is a 2F or small block Chevy.

Just trying to get a feel where the engine will end up or if I might end up having to move the transfer case.
Of course the best way is to start trial fitting, but just now trying to figure out my best course of action before buying parts.

Thanks for any input or advice!

TLC in Van Nuys, CA does this kind of mod all the time. Put a bug in their ear, they love to spout off about the whys and hows of their mods and would surely put you on the right path, if not sell you some parts.

I have a NV4500 in my 83. It sits behind a 350 that needs to be replaced (love to do a diesel). I'm sorry I can't offer much advice. Darrell at Cruiser Outfitters in SLC did it before he sold out to Kurt WIlliams. All I know is that he used the kit from AA.
