Just got me one and thinking about mounts. looking at Defender rack gutter mounts on the side of the windshield. With these I think I can flip it to the back side if I gold the windshield. Anyone done this or any other mount? I have seen the old style mount from redline ... I have a 82 so it won't work

Ordered the tall mounts thinking I could put the light "under" them but the light is too wide so I'm going to swap them for the short mounts. This should move it 3 inches closer to the windshield

It's also mounted behind the mount

With it or around it? Driving it doesn't block at all.... Now at a stop light is another story  but the light out put off road is AMAZING... Plus Mama and I are short anyway

Keep in mind that the Luxor Casino, here in Vegas, was directed to dramatically lower the power of their laser beacon - it was blinding Commercial Airline Pilots... just sayin'...

One thing to be careful of with mounting it on a windshield is tree branches. I have a big set of halogens with steel housings up on the windshield frame and I went around a corner kinda fast and a branch I didn't see totally smashed one. A big guard like some of the light bars on baja trucks might be a good idea, or put it down by the headlight behind a bull bar of some sort. Are those repairable? Otherwise that would be an expensive item to replace.
