My LC200 has 17" rock warriors (with 285/75/17) but I still have the original 18" spare. I just replaced my existing KOs with new KO2s. I kept one of the old tires that was in the best condition to use as the spare so that I have a full size spare. My problem is that I cannot find a cheap 17" rim that will work. (I also can't seem to get a lead on a single RW)

Has anyone here found a good 17" steelie that will fit the LC200? The RWs are 8" with +50 offset so that would be preferred. Any good sites to find wheels? The ones I have been running across won't let me search by size only by vehicle.

I am getting down to the wire as we leave for Utah and Colorado next Friday.

Good idea. I'm gonna sell 3 RW's and use two of my original 18" wheels for my two spares.

Just buy an 18" spare that is close to the overall diameter of the other tires. Probably something that will work for cheap on craigslist.
Funny I never thought of that. I have 5 rock warriors on my 200, 5 stock 18’s I’ve been trying to sell just sitting in my closet taking up room, and 3 Jeep wheels on my trailer. Ideally I’d like all matching rock warriors from my trailer and 200, but I never considered using my stock 18’s with close to equivalent tire size on my trailer. I’d much prefer that over my current trailer’s Jeep wheels. Looks like 285/70/R17 is within 0.1” of 285/65/R18. Does that 0.1” matter safety wise if I had to use one of these 18’s as a temporary spare on my 200?

I don’t think .1” variance will cause any issues. Many vehicles have that much difference or more between tires simply due to uneven wear.

I guess that is the best option. Searched for a couple hours and still can’t find a 17” wheel. Also, buying a 5th RW will probably cost more than a new 18” tire for the spare.

Thanks for the help!

Talked to the dealership....

Says its an import part and they can't get their hands on one.

I recently ordered a set for a client with a 200 series. The rim themselves aren't that pricey. It was the shipping.

Shipping was more than the cost of 5 rims.

It is what it is unfortunately.

@Icangetstuck where in Texas are you located. I have an extra RW. I bought 3 here on Mud for $275 apiece plus shipping. I wanted 2 for spare tires. So I do have an extra.
I know it ain't cheap. But I was thinking about your situation. Seems like a pain finding a used spare for an 18" rim since you are running out of time. And like you said.....buy a new tire or a RW...cost is close. If you don't find a cheap solution and want mine let me know.
They are still packaged and in my garage.

Good luck,
Jim

Maybe your dealer can order one?

I've looked at the Australia route. There are some good cast wheels for reasonable price but like Beno says shipping is crazy.

There are actually a few 17x8 aftermarket wheels on TireRack. Mostly TireRack branded Chinese wheels.

Then there is the worst wheel design of all time, the Rockstar available in 17x8:

I ran out of time so I ended up getting a 265/70r18. Discount found me a cheapo for $100. Figure it will be good enough to get me to a tire shop to repair/replace the flat tire.

Looking at this calculator, I don't think I would have any problems. Rim & Tire Size Calculator. Custom Offsets

Overall diameter is 3mm different and I made the assumption that the narrow width wouldn't matter in a spare tire situation.
