I've been using U-Pol's Raptor spray on kit for years now with great results :)

In fact, it's the go to bedliner kit we've been using at my shop (and we're a Rhino Dealer lol)

Use it on everything from fleet vehicles, golf carts and mini trucks to laptops and guitars

My Cruiser has been lined for about a decade now and she's in need of some touch up on the bumpers, swing outs as well as a couple of spots on the hood :meh:

My shop up here in NY is not exactly paint friendly (especially since the spray on stuff can be messy) and I don't have any near future plans of driving her back to my paint shop in Orlando, so I've been considering their roll-on kit, but have yet to use it 😐

Now, their 5010 kit appears to have added grit packs, whereas the spray on kits don't 😒

Looking to get the closest match to the original spray on stuff, so I'm kinda debating between this roll on kit or just use applying the spray on stuff with rollers :hmm:

Has anyone here used both?

How are they in comparison?

Have seen multiple people say once it on, it isn’t coming off. Permanent solution that take commitment. Looks good I think and durable. How do you keep it from bubbling , leaving small holes where rust can start? At least 2 coats?

Just watching this thread... I plan on grey raptor lining my 80 but will as much less texture as I can, much like Sooty on 4WD...

I used the gray Raptor on my golf cart

It's held up fine, but the problem with the tintable kits is that the levels in each of the 4 bottles supplied are not consistent, so even when you add identical drops of tint, you'll end up with a slightly different shade for each bottle if used one at a time :(

Hard to tell in the pix, but each shell has a slightly different shade

That was the first time using one of the tintable kits at my shop.

Since then, if we have to do a tintable job requiring more than one bottle, we simply use a large hopper gun and dump all the bottles in at once so it matches.

That being said, today I tried the Raptor roll on kit for the first time and I have to say, it's absolute dog $h!t :bang:

The rollers that came with the kit fell apart while rolling

I made sure not to saturate and go lightly, but they still crumbled after a few minutes and I had to use two more from a spare kit

I only needed to do the hood, but ended up doing the bumpers, rear and lower doors just to finish off the kit

It probably would've been better with proper rollers, but my next trip back to my shop in Orlando, I'll be doing it all over again with spray on
