The pirated... oh I mean the bought upgraded disc may be good ideas as long as it doesn't disable the override functions, DVD playback and phone dialing while in motion.

CDan's price to me was $250 the normal price. The DVD's will copy with certain hardware but are double layered and also require certain software upgrades.

250 bucks is Toyota's suggested selling price and there is very little margin in this item. It is not possible to offer it for less than that. Toyota has an artificialy low price on this particular item. If you look them up in the catalog and use the "standard" 10 digit number they are close to a thousand bucks a rattle....

Cdan what does the upgrade entail. i have an 03 LC. what benifits does this add to my nav system. will the upgrade allow me to do Ctapia hack that alows you to imput data to the system while im motion??? will it allow me to add satalite radio to my system? will it allow me add the rear back up camera? sorry for the questions, just trying to see what it adds to my system.

You can add the camera by plugging it straight into the back of your 03 Nav deck. I am not sure about the software.

It is simply a new data disc with updated map information.
