I have bought an Econ*Lock device an i`m very happy with it.

This way I can change the gears manually if I like to do so.

It helps a lot when you travel with a 3.8ton equipped car abroad, was handy from our Transafrica till Island trips.

This way the V8 Diesel is lovely to drive...

This looks like it'd be really nice! Can anyone give me an engineering type explanation as to why they don't lock from the factory in the first place? Seems like a no brainer to me
 
I know our U.S. spec 2003 Land Cruiser with 5 speed auto has a factory locking torque converter. I would think the 200 is the same.

You can see the "lock up" happening by watching your RPMs while cruising on the highway. Once you are cruising at a desired speed, your RPMs should drop by 200 or so. That is the point when the lock happens.
