my new purchase 2000 has a rock chip on the left headlight... weird that the 80 series I just got has the same thing on the left side... so need one of those also... I see online I can get a new pair of aftermarket headlights for the lx470 for less than $200 anyone have experience with these? they look pretty cool some have the late model led eyes in them...

I've had to replace a few glass headlights on my LX over the years. If you can find a used one on ebay (even a broken one), you can bake the old one at 220F in the oven for 15-20 mins which will soften the "glue"/puddy that holds the glass to the black plastic. Then you can carefully pry the hot glass away from the plastic and replace with a new piece of glass. Not the easiest thing ever, but it works well.

Keep in mind that removing the LX headlights and surrounding facia is not an easy task either!

Which LX470 lense do you need? Low or High?

I have a pair of LX470 glass lenses for the left & right high beams available. They are already removed from the light housings and ready to ship.

Mine has a chip in both sides.
However I have HID high beam so not that easy and cheap to replace.
