Starting to dream about moving back to Australia so I would like to see pics of a 78 series (troop carrier preferably) on 33's or 35's.

Here is a 75 series on 35's:

Unlike the 79 series pick up, the 78 series and the 75 series troopies share the same basic body, other than suspension and minor trim differences.

aussie75series,

My brother is an ambo in Queensland and he does not get to drive a troopie(think he drives a Ford 350 van). Is the second passanger door standard or aftermarket?

Have you checked the legallities of fitting 33" Tyres? :flipoff2:

In Victoria an Engineer's Certificate is irrelevent for Tyres, as the 15mm Rule still applies. :D No Grey area to the Legislation on Tyres. ;)

I wonder how this guy gets away with a spring over and 36" tires? :D

Ignorance. - I belive the 15mm applies in all States and Territories, except Tasmania where the overall diameter isn't specified.

Yes ,you can read all about it in a few months:D

"Have you checked the legallities of fitting 33" Tyres?"

I did check out the legalities. Looks like you can only increase hight by 15mm over the standard tyre. But for a solid axle 4x4 you can increase the width by 1.5 times the standard tyre. So if the standard tyre was 29 X 9.5 you could install a 29.5 X 14.25. Weird.

Given that the 78's come with pizza cutters (31.5 X 7.5 I think) the max legal size would be 32 X 11.25 :frown: But I bet that a 33 X 10.5 would not attract much attention :)
