hey, im over in new zealand on vacation with my better half, tons of cruisers here, and prados and hiluxs. making me miss my 83 bj60 soa merkur turbo'd cruiser on 35 mtr's. i need my dose of cruiser and been thinking about 37"x13" r15 boggers or maybe 39.5"x18" r15 when i get back. the 35" mtr's look small after the soa. i'll probally use longfields and 4.88's when i get around to it one day but im wondering if anyone has a 60 on this sized rubber and if 4.88's are good for this size rubber. as well anyone with pics would help me with the withdrawls. thanx.

Not 39's like you asked for but 42's. Badass rig, and he is selling it!!

thanx, sweet as, (thats what they say in nz) looks like hes running coil springs and 3 link. thats how you avoid the expensive steering arms i guess. that is cool looking rig though forshizzle. any more running big rubber?

Here's another with 37's and one more showing the difference between 37's and 35's.

sweet. the 37's fill up the wheel wells so much better on yours than mine with the 35's. that looks like a really good balance of tire size to lift. it looks like your running eagle alloys and 1 american racing rim in 1 pic.

My wife has 38x15.5s on her '62. Not Boggers though. I'll try and remember to snap a pic of it tomorrow.

Mark...

no not bogger specific, im thinking of boggers at least 37's and longfields and gears eventually, im currently with 35's on 83bj60, its had rearched springs, extended shackles soa and 1" body, and the 35's now seem tiny, mines also rusted and i was thinking of getting paintd black one day so its good to finally see a black cruiser in a good pic. the 37's definately fill the wheel wells better.

Damm!!!!!! that white 60 with 42's is sick:eek:
Great work on the suspension, can you tell us the specs and mods of that monster.

I would love to see that monster on the rocks, it most have a great flex

lunyou,

I am pretty much just a run-of-the-mill SOA. Stock height springs, extended shackles, and some beefy spring perches.

Hey Cody, you are correct in that I have 1 Eagle alloy and 1 AR rim on in that pic. If you notice, the front tire is 37" and the rear is 35". I run the 37's on Eagle alloy 585's (15x10) and the 35's on AR Outlaw II's (15x8). I was in the middle of a swap before heading to Big Bear and thought I would snap a pic for the size difference.

oh, that explains, i noticed later that the tires seemed different and than it made sense. my 60 is on mtrs as well, what is it with cruisers and mtrs. they worked fairly well in winter but i think that a lighter vehicle would have been all over the road. ill try and post a pic of it later, have to get it off old computer or if your curious you can do a search: finally turboing 3b , theres a pic on the second page.

He is running 4.88's with ARB's front and rear. Has a 203 gear box in front of the stock cruiser t-case. Long's in the front axle. On board air. Sliders and custom bumpers front and rear.

I'm sure there is more mods that I am missing.

Pretty bad ass rig. Flex's well and rides sweet.

Tim

Looks good Cody. Are you running spacers on the front end with those wheels? I had to run 1/4" spacers on mine.

I have Pic posted about in the ARB winch thread...Its on 37s as well.
