Trying to finish the project on my truck to make this event.... Putting a Marlin Crawler Dual Ultimate into my pick up and trying to get my 4.3 conversion all squared away but I have a good month to tie up all my loose ends....... I would love to caravan thursday night or friday... I will keep an eye on this thread!
Definitely can't do Thursday morning due to class, but I would be back in LA in time to pick up my rig and head out by around 7pm Thursday night. I figure Friday early morning is just as good, get to Pismo by 11am/noon, unpack and setup camp by 2pm, ready to enjoy the rest of the weekend, hopefully on all four tires
lets go out Thursday night!!! Why drive up in the daylight? ring ring...

I used to live on Pickering at Mar Vista, 7327-7335 Pickering. But I have moved to thousand oaks, for a girl.
Funny stuff man I live on Mar Vista and Painter......... Been here for about 1 year and two months and have never seen any offroad type toyotas around this area....
If you leave on thursday what time would you be heading up...

the main SB radio club is 146.790 but it's not located very high so I don't know how far it'll reach. Was pretty active a little while back.
There is one also on Santa Ynez Peak. That's probably quite a bit higher.
Best is probably something on Broadcast Peak, the dividing ridge. That should look all the way down to LA and up North probably close to or up to Pismo. I think 147.000 is up there. Not sure about activity.
Both of these are probably 131.8 PL
There is one located close to Pismo that reaches quite a bit South.
I vaguely remember this all being discussed in the main SnT 2007 thread.
here is one on Santa Ynez Peak. Turns out that's about the same height as broadcast peak so should have a great coverage of most of the way up to Pismo (if it's working, don't know...)
