Trying to get a DANA 60 axle sitting up in Ashville down to Florida via the upstate area. I will be in the Upstate 6/22-7/5 and again the following weekend for the annual BBQ. Trying to find someone coming down during those dates to the Pickens/Pumpkintown metro area who might be able to bring it along.

I've got your back . . .

I plan on coming too! A Dana should fit nicely in the back of a 100 or 62. Might not fit in my 40, but under it . . .

Let me know if my services are needed.

That could save me a trip up to A-ville, David. I am planning on coming up for the annual and wantto bring this axle back to FLA with me. It is for Sputnik40. Let me know if you really feel like bringing it down. It is big, heavy, and most likely greasy. I may come up for it next week while I am at my place in Sunset.

Sunset Beach NC!!!

You have a place there? That is a beautiful place, but a 12 hour round trip. I plan on coming anyway to PigFest '07 and as long as someone is there to help me on both ends it should be doable in a 100 (as long as its not a Rockwell, I hope:D)

Have tarp, will travel!

No, no, no, David!! I am in Sunset, South Carolina, a shining suburb of Pumpkintown. Our downtown area is at the intersection of Highway 11 and highway 178.

Sunset SC. D'oh!

My bad. Another place in SC that sounds like someplace else (i.e., Columbia, Marrietta, Florence, Georgetown, Pumpkintown).

Still, if you need some transport, I would be glad to help!

I have a crane type rolling engine hoist that will reach into the 100, lift the rear end and roll it out...all right here in my shop. Then we can put it in Jim's pickup....done deal.

Sounds good to me. Please be sure you want to bring it down here, David. I don't want you to mess up your 100.

We'll just put in the back of a '62 . . .

Can't hurt a 62, right?:D Tarp it, lift it in, block it so it doesn't roll around . . . or am I missing something? Does this weigh more than a couple hundred pounds? Is it intact? I have carried about 800 pounds of bagged mulch in back of the 62 before . . . .

Or would it be simpler just to meet you when you come up from Sunset, help you lift it in your truck, and buy you a beer at the original Barley's?

David,

I'll have my full-size chevy pick-up up there next week. It will be a lot easier to come and get it in that and get it staged down to Hard40's until I come up for the BBQ. I don't know what the original Barley's is but it sounds damn good to me! I'll call you next week after I get settled. A trip to Ashville sounds like a good thing.

Great, I finally get to meet the Captain!

The first round is on me for the Captain and any other UC crew members that come to AsheVegas!!!!
