Anyone do Broken Arrow in Sedona with their 200? (1 Viewer)

Did broken arrow couple of weeks ago, pics below.

Advice - try not to go fri/sat/sunday, tons of traffic and pink Jeeps clogging up the one way road. If you have to go on a busy day, go early. Gatekeeper wasn’t an issue in AHC on high with 33 inch KO2 — I think your lift and same tires would have similar clearances as me.

This is awesome, thanks for sharing this! I'm in Sedona for a week and have been debating whether or not take the 200 on it. It would be the most difficult rated trail that I've attempted so far in it. I've got 33" tires and a 2" lift, but no skids or sliders. Did the path to Devil's Arch yesterday and it was a ton of fun but that's a lot easier rated. We're on a family roadtrip to the east coast with a few thousand miles still ahead so I may still chicken out and take the MTB instead, haha, but thanks for showing that it is possible!

How is the Devil's arch trail after the two big rocks at the entrance? Drove by there last week after I got new tires and wheels and wanted to do it, but the wife didn't feel comfortable.

Those big rocks at the entrance are the hardest part! Made it in without incident and the rest of the trail was much more mild, but underside did scrape the rocks slightly on the way back out.

Why do people put in hitch recovery shackles? Is it for cool factor? I ask because, I’ve been told that it’s only ok if you don’t have real rear recovery points which the 200 has, otherwise that is a stupid place to pull from.

A simple glance under the truck would show you the 200 does not have "real rear recovery points," unless they have been added through aftermarket.

The best spot from which to pull a vehicle is dead centre on that vehicle, ie. the hitch.

While in most cases there's no need to run a recovery shackle full time, there are valid use cases for doing so.

Ok thanks, maybe it’s the hitch pin that’s the Achilles heal. I know Factor 55 has a strong one. I’ll have to look more into this before heading out to windrock.

I knew it! I figured they were there to discourage ill equipped vehicles from going down the trail. Will definitely do it next time.

thanks!

If anyone has some good dispersed camping tips in the area, would love to hear them. Was gonna camp at the top of Schnebly Hill, but it looks like the gate is still not open.

What gate? On a side road? I was there last year and don't remember seeing a gate on the main road. We plan on camping there is a couple weeks and would like to know if there are any issues.

this is where i was seeing it mentioned, hopefully i'm interpreting it incorrectly.

There is a Schnebly Hill Road and Schnebly Hill Trail. The trail appears to have a gate but the road is fairly wide and I can't imagine it being gated.
