There is nothing under the sun Off Roaders have not smashed to smithereens.

How much thread did you have showing? what size, was it the 1" forged, the 1.25" forged, or a regular JJ someone welded a stud to?

The only thing I head was people blowing them out because the big washer on the side of the ball deformed, but the newer ones are much thicker, so it's not an issue.

My lowers are threaded almost all the way in, and are the 1.25" stud, forged joint.. I've come down on the link near the shank pretty hard and no damage yet..

I don't used the welded on studs for that reason. I want max weld area on that joint housing, so I buy the J.J.'s you weld the entire tube circumference to. I've heard of folks bustin out the snap ring, haven't heard of the deformed washer problem. No issues w/ my J.J.'s yet, but mines not really been trail proven :D

these were the forged 1" shank threaded alost all the way in they did not bend much bent them about a 1/4" and these are the newer johnny joints with the bigger washer i have them on my loweres all the way around so just curious to see if this was an on going problem or just me being to hard on s#*t. i have not bent any of my other ones. so we will see
