Any way to fit 10" subs in back?

I have a pair of fancy 10" subs I'd love to use in my 08 LC, which uses 8" in the back. So my options are either try to squeeze these subs in the 8" holes (or cut holes bigger, or use adapters) or put them in some kind of custom box. I'd like to fit them in their intended place to preserve space if possible. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The lx uses a 10” so you can buy a factory lx box.
Easier is to run an 8” to 10” spacer, roll your own or buy for $20.
I have a 3/4” spacer on mine fits fine.
You’ll need an additional amp, just changing the sub will be underwhelming unless you have a very sensitive sub going in.

Also suggest while you’re in there to sound dampen the box, stuff it, and dampen anything else you see. Basically all the normal stuff you’d usually do applies

Awesome! Once again, thanks for the help! I'm a studio audio tech by trade so matching correct amp to speaker and damping the cabinet and all shouldn't be a problem. I've used adhesive backed polymeric mastic for cabinet damping in the past and it's been great. Very similar material, if not the same as used in "Dynamat".

I'm not sure what it looks like behind the trim pieces, but if there's room to build a proper sealed cabinet that would be awesome. That said, I'd like to keep it looking as stock as possible so really hope it will fit where the standard subs live.....maybe I can build a little cabinet around it.

There is only one sub in the back. You will not be able to make 2 fit and have it look anywhere near stock.
Much of the info you are looking for is here.
