Any reasonably inexpensive 17" wheel options?

I'm still struggling with a decision on what tires/size to get. Thought I had it worked out and placed an order for Toyo Open Country AT3s, but after 2.5 weeks they still haven't shipped, and I've cancelled that order. Back to the tire dilemma, I've noticed that there are a lot more options in the 17" wheel size. Specifically, I can get Falken AT3W in 285/70/17 (32.8") in load range C, which is not only an absolutely perfect size/rating for my wants/needs, but is also sounding like an excellent tire that I can run year round through the winter season. The problem is that I don't have 17" wheels on hand, and the preferred option of Rock Warriors is only available at a ludicrous price.

So... what other 17" wheels can I look out for? I'd need five wheels.

Cost/budget is the main concern right now. I would love to find a set of used, local, OEM 17" wheels for under $600 CAD (a reasonable price for used, OEM wheels). What options can I specifically search for? Searching for the bolt pattern (5x150) doesn't bring up much.

Second-best choice is aftermarket. Usually I'm not a fan of this option due to weaker, lower-quality products. But if I had to... what are some go-to options? Evo Corse? Method? Others? Anything to be aware of? Sounds like an offset in the 30-35 range is the best option?

RWs are the go-to for sure. An option I don't see or hear about much is the Patriot Campers PCOR wheels are 17x9 w/ +35 offset and #3300 load rating for ~$250USD/wheel. Center cap is a little much, but eh...

I had no idea Patriot Campers even made wheels. They do look nice (outside of that centre cap - yikes), but are a bit more expensive than I'd like. At $250 USD they're $350 CAD, plus costs to get them into Canada.

4wheel parts Canada shows Method 701/702 wheels for $250 CAD, and a few ICON options for $296 CAD. Hmm...

Funny I have been thinking the exact same thing. I was going to make the same suggestion. I wonder if anyone on here has imported a set yet. I'd be curious as to how it went and would love to see a set mounted on a 200.

The cheapest is probably importing UAE/EU 17" steelies. These are around US$150/ea including shipping.
The other even cheaper is importing AUS 17" steelies, these are around US$80/each, but I haven't found an AUS source that will ship to the US. Maybe they will to CA. China source is easy to find for these generics but minimum order is 500 rims . . . at around $30/each.

I got Icon Rebound in 17". I think I paid around $180/ea but heard others have gotten them for around $170/ea. Went with the new Toyo Open Country AT3 that I got from Discount Tire (which they had in stock). Been very pleased so far...

Called around a few vendors. Looking at around $1820CAD for a set of 5 wheels. More than I want to spend.

Have decided to compromise on the width of the tire and go with a 275 option on current wheels.

Ordered 5 Falken Wildpeak AT3/W tires, in SL load rating, in 275/60/20 size, to go on my existing OEM 20" wheels. Didn't want to go down to a 275 width, but this looks to be by far the best option when comparing cost vs practicality. Will be selling the winter tires currently on my 20" wheels, as well as the 18" set of Tundra wheels I have.

This is the third tire set I have ordered (first two cancelled) in the last 3 weeks. Third time's the charm, right?

Where have you been ordering from that keeps delaying like that?

If 18' is a option, can find Tundra wheels on CL dirt cheap, $100-150 for set of 4. It's a great value for OEM quality wheels.

The first tire order was cancelled at my request due to wanting to change tires.

Then I ordered different tires from 4 Wheel Parts Canada. Specifically, the Langley, BC location. Website suggests tires are in stock and ready to go. Ordered on April 20th. After a week and no change from "order processing," I called and was told tires were "on the way" from US, to the store, with an expected arrival date of around April 30th. They would then ship to me.

Called again this Tuesday, May 5th. After an hour and fifteen minutes on hold I was told tires still hadn't shipped from the US and to email them if I wanted to cancel. Sent an email at 1:50pm that same Tuesday, telling them to cancel and to confirm.

On Wednesday I tried calling the store some 6-7 times, and instantly got "line busy" every time. Can't even get on hold. Found a thread on a local 4WD group of dozens of people in the same boat. Locals say the store has 1 person working there, in-person line ups are 1.5hrs long, everyone is pissed, and phones aren't being answered. One guy said he was placed on hold, the store then closed for the day, and he was left on hold.

So I sent them another email, demanding immediate confirmation.

And then I called the national line. Got bounced around between 4-5 people, with 20 min wait times for each. No one could help me because my order was placed in Canada, and each guy was "connecting me to the Canadian specialist." Finally ended up on the phone with the store manager from 4WD Ontario, Burlingon location. He was empathetic and promised to deal with it and call me right back. Got a call from him an hour later, and he said it was dealt with, and that someone from the Langley store would call me back shortly to confirm. No one did.

Called the same manager around 8:30am this morning, he was on another line so I left a message with the guy I spoke to. Was promised a call back. It's now past 1pm and unsurprisingly, no one has called back. Still cannot get through by phone to the Langley location, still zero answers to my emails.

Currently on hold with VISA to dispute that transaction.

I'm never buying anything from 4 Wheel Parts again. Complete & utter sh1t show.

Ugh.
What a mess.
I suspect a lot of businesses are unable to provide their normal services right, so it’s hard to know if it’s Covid timing, or just crappy in general...

This particular store has always been understaffed (for years!) and with huge customer line ups. I didn't realize my order would go through them when I bought on 4wp's website.

I am going to put the Black PCOR wheels (17x9 w/ +35) on in a couple weeks; tires will be 285/75R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I picked up 1.5" SpiderTrax, but I don't think I'll need/want them.

1.25 max with those tires IME.

35 and 1” plus spacer is around 12 or zero. At those offset you can just but any of the dime a dozen tundra wheels.

My fav Canadian tire shop: Quattrotires.com Free delivery and to the door in 3-5 days. They have Toyo AT2s in stock and ready to ship. 285/60/20?

I've seen Tundra steelies that pop up on CL or Kijiji for $100-200 a set.

Worth crossing the border and getting tires in Everett? Long drive but done in a day?
