Need a new water heater in our camp. There's a 40 gal in there now but it's waaaay too big, and it's full of rust and sediment. I'm trying to essentially do a "tiny house" build (this is a mobile home on a lake lot). So I want to swap it out with a smaller unit that will fit under the kitchen cabinet, Rheem makes a 20 gal "point of use" unit that looks perfect. Except one thing: there is no drain. Ya... who makes a tanked water heater and doesn't put a drain valve on the bottom, right?

We don't heat this place in the winter, so I need to drain it every fall. The ports are on the side, but I still don't think the cold inlet is low enough to get it fully drained.

Anybody every worked with one of these? Am I missing something?

I ended up finding a used Whirlpool 19 gal unit on Craigslist today.
