Hidden Falls

Both are fun. PINS is at the coast, you can fish, camp, kayak and drive the longest stretch of undeveloped beach in the world. Look out for turtles if it's their season.

Hidden Falls, is an off road/trail park where you can also camp. They have trails for every skill level and if I remember also a shooting range. It's fun, gets you to know your limits.

PINS ( Padre Island National Seashore ) its a stretch of beach that is only usable with a 4wd. it takes 6+ hours to get to the ends (mile marker 60). it's a cool place to fish. i would not go swimming there. sharks cruise the coast line just 20 yards off shore. you will find more shark hunters there then any other part of of our coast ( port A / south P).

i like wade fishing and kayak fishing. if it's cool with yall i vote for north Port A. we can camp on the beach and if you have kids they can play in the water. we can fish the jetties at night and fish the bay in the day light.

i was thinking about bringing my dog, but that means I have to take care of it. Might bring my son and make Aurora watch him while I fish and have fun, it will be her birthday gift .

cool then will go to port A do some fishing, swimming and camping on the beach. i see dogs there all the time. if your bring kids they will have a good time. so will the wives. so the camp area is close to the north jetties also close to the ferries. so we can meet there or drive down as a group. i might try and head out early friday (6am) so i can get a spot. if they are full there is a spot south of that about 10miles down. we can talk more as we get closer. i will be down there the weekend before so i will scout it out more (fishing with a group of guys a yearly trip).

we're debating on whether to leave thursday evening or friday morning. I wanna make the most of fishing.

don't feel so bad, i just found out I HAVE to be in Dallas on that Friday afternoon. And Aurora's friends want to take her to that world record river float in new Braunfels for her bday. SO it looks like unless something drastically changes, I'll be missing this trip .
