Any of your guys run Mojave trail?

I have not run it yet but I bought a Mojave Trail book to plan a future run. Looking forward to running it.

That sounds good. I have been trying to get some people to commit on my end but they are "H**p" owners so... Seriously I want to and the more the merrier. Anyone else interested? Speak up. Perhaps it could be a SoCal 80's run.

The mojave is on my list to explore. I don't know much about it other than driving through some of it on my way to vegas. Am I too low to go on the trails that you guys are thinking of. As of now I am pretty well armored so I don't mind a creep and scratch approach if neccessary. I don't want to slow everyone down though if I need to be strapped through a lot. Shot gun is always an option.

Smitty, i don't think you have to worry... i've seen plenty of stock rigs run through the trail. You'll be fine.

So how does this sound to you guys.... Since nobody has really been through it... i'll pre-run the whole trail one weekend with a few other of my buddies and then at least one of us will know the route when all us FJ80 guys go.

Sound good?

works for me...take some pics on the pre run.

Sounds like a great idea. Which direction are you planning to run it?

How long is it, miles and days and when are you planning this adventure?

138 miles supposedly... im getting my book soon here and i'll know for sure (ive seen 220 miles) Most people do it in 3 days. Probably not go for a couple months with the hot weather we've been having. It's probably 110+ out there right now.

After i run it twice... i would really like to run it nonstop if it's possible with a co-driver... cause i don't think anyone has ever done it.

Where did you get this book, I would be interested in one I need to build my collection of trail maps.
I grew up out there in the high desert (Ridgecrest) but never explored it. My parents and sister still live out there so I would luv to hit up some trails outside of town with my nephews when I visit.

Supposedly it's pretty right on the money with markers and mileage and descriptions.

East to west. Back towards civilization would be the best way i'd think.

The same direction I want to run it.

That is the same book I have on it. This is sounding familiar. Am I posting back and forth with myself again? :flipoff2:

Not reccomended to run the whole trail without at least a second vehicle. You have to find someone else crazy enough to run it nonstop too.:D

There are a few of us roaming around here. Oh, your sig line is a little dislexic. You got the J before the Z. :flipoff2:

Man when you fix a sig line you go all out! I dig Kaisers, do you still have that?

I kinda like J to the Z, then again I grew up on the wrong side of the tracks.
