Haven't been on here in a while. I'm looking for some new tires to possibly replace my Nitto Terra Grapplers. Two of them are pretty worn, so it's either 2 new Nitto's or replace the whole set. My dilemma is that I have a camp on the Allegheny and my boat launch is sand and river rock (for now. I plan on pouring concrete later this year). Anyhow, when it rains the rock become slippery as all hell and the sand just gives way. This just leads to huge ruts as I try not to sink into the river. The slope is about 20deg. And when pulling 2 jet skiis it's hard as hell. Had to be towed up and out last weekend. I aired down to about 30psi. Two weeks ago I had a tough time getting out even without towing anything. So, I like the looks of the KM2's but this is also my DD. Any suggestions? This situation also is giving me an excuse to try and get an ARB/Slee front bumper and winch.

Any updates on KM2s? They are at the top of the list for new tires, but just checking in for real life reviews. Thanks,

Updates? Sure. They are LOUDER now. Beginning to bug me...but that's me...Mr. Anal when it comes to my 100. Comments welcome! :D

Ya, at times I think all my driveline bearings are starting to go.

305 may pull your stock skid apart, and will def rub your wells.

:meh: you hear that Shotts :flipoff2:

Not much left of the stock skid, I would like to see it rip out my fender lining, knowing that most of it is gone anyways. Only thing left is the metal lining.

Ok, I have a slight problem, maybe I am adding up wrong.

a 305 nitto is 32.68" tall by 12.4" across.
a 305 BFG 295 AT is 33.1" tall by 11.5" across (I don't have much more clearance with the UCA's/A-Arms)
a 305 BFG KM-2 is 33.1" tall by 12.2' across. Does anybody know if the will fit? I am assuming if 315 KM-2's fit with no A-arm rub than I am fine. I just don't see how another .7" of width will fit in there.

I need advice!

Anybody

Well... You pretty much just have to try them on.

-The 0.7" you are referring to is really only half that amount between the UCA and sidewall
-The 12.2" section width spec you listed is actually measured on a 9" wide wheel. On an 8" wheel, it will be a little bit narrower.

Just get them, worse case scenario, you'll need a wheel spacer/adapter.

That's what was throwing me off, none of the tires were measured on the same width rim. What do you think hoser? Problem or no problem? Shotts has 315 km-2's with no spacers and claims they don't rub. How bad is a little rubbing on the A-arm?

Just do it. They can always be made to work.

Ive been running BFG KM2 18-35-12.5 for approx. 8K miles and the rubbing I get even with the OME heavy suspension is tolorable for street driving. I cant believe I havent been off road with these yet!!! too darn busy... I had to adjust the turn stops no spacers are being used. On heavy compression I get a little rubbing in the front inside the wheel well covers none in the rear yet. After only 8k miles I can tell they are a little louder than new on the road but still not too bad considering its a mud tire! When you drive slow under 10 miles per hour you can feel the nubs on the steering wheel but they dissapear as soon as you speed up. Being a low profile tire on an 18" rim makes the truck handle a little more sporty but you can feel and hear the nubs again if you push hard. Overall on a scale of 1-10, 10 being best; I give them a 7. It may be higher once I go off road :grinpimp:. Also keep in mind my previous tires were BFG KO's put 70k miles!!! Hard act to follow!
