FYI, this weekend is Cal 4x4 Winterfunfest. As we know, the sunday river bottom games is no longer a part of their trip, however we also know that there is usually a pretty good event there on Sunday. This year is falls 01/15/2006. Of course. No guarantee, but usually promissful. I'll find out from local 4x4 on Friday. I'll make a trip down again and see if anything has changed. Sure would be great to see more cruisers than us for the 80's group. Heres a pic of some participants for2005 .

If we can't get another winter snow run contingent (I had to pass on the most recent one to help my sis-in-law move), I wouldn't mind a quick little Prairie City trip. It's always amusing to watch the yahoos get stuck in the mud...and it would be a nice excuse to meet some cruiserheads.

Thoughts? Comments?

I'm in for running some moderate trails (day trip only) suitable for a stock 80 series coming up this weekend. Sat, Sun, or Mon, whatever days are good.

I've been to Prairie City a couple of times and have done everything there that wouldn't cause body damage. Don't really like the mud though.
 
Greenhorn is our back yard and it offers evrything from class one to class 5 stuff. As we have said before its a fun place to play. But winter funfest or the sunday of that weekend is even better. 100% chance of carnage and rollovers to watch etc. Come on up.
 
I'm in for the weekend, whatever day depending on who else wants to go up. No entry/entrance fee to run the trails?

I might be open this Sunday. It depends if I'm able to install my door glass before then.
Doug, can you get away for few hours on Sunday?

Josh, there is no snow in Prarie City, but I'm sure that near Grass Valley there might be some.

LOL!! I know there's no snow in Prarie City!! Sunday would be good, I think my Parents are stopping by on Saturday.

Talked today with Dennis from CD Performance and there is now a road cut through the other side of the creek. Sounds like should be a good time.

Okay, consensus is for Sunday. I'm in.

Meeting place and time?
A suggestion is the one lc1996 and I used. The Chevron off of the Eureka Rd exit. Going on Eastbound 80, Eureka Rd is right after the Douglas exit. The Chevron is a couple of blocks in, and to the left.

450Dude, as far as I know, those are correct directions. I cut and pasted what NorcalSam provided. He lives there.
 
Sam has a great point re: Winter fun fest. Local law enforcement will be out in full effect, and the rumor is, those who litter will "come on vacation, leave on probation".... Enjoy Grass Valley, just pack out your trash.
 
I might be game Sunday too...granted I get my chores done on Saturday. I'll know for sure by Saturday night.

hey I like to go. I was planning on going to the con with a group of guys,but that are already up there. SUnday sounds great. where are you guys headed. I'm in stockton. not far from everyone else.
