Mates,

Would love to be able to check out and hear DT header and exhaust system if you reside in San Diego. I am interested in the system, talked to Nick from DT on the phone today but wanted to be absolutely sure that if there is any droning sound that I and the lady can tolerate.

Much obliged.

Thanks,

Tim

Headers + free flowing exhaust will be on the louder end of the scale. If you have a wife and/or kids that ride in the vehicle with you I'd recommend you go with either headers, midpipes, and keep the stock exhaust. Or keep the stock manifolds and just do the midpipes/exhaust.

There are sever 100 series owners now that have headers + exhaust and even some that have headers + exhaust + midpipes. Hopefully they chip in with some further input that may help you decide which route to go.

The headers DO NOT change the volume AT ALL. The exhaust volume is dictated by the exhaust system. Removing cats such as doing mid pipes will increase the volume as the cats act like mufflers. The quietest performance route would be the DT stainless headers and stainless exhaust as it uses a large 24" muffler for maximum sound reduction while also allowing for maximum flow.

Thanks
Nick

Thank you all the inputs.

Nick,

Please let us know the moment the header is CARB approved.

Tim-

PM me; I'm going to be in the North County area mid next week and might be able to get over to meet with you and provide, as Anton Ego said, "some perspective".

For those DT header owners in California, do you have a CARB certificate or OE number?

Thank you...
