any companies out there making repro vin plates?

anyone know of any companies making reproduction vin plates? I want to replace mine for my restoration.

That might be wandering into a grey area in terms of legality. Can you just touch up the one you have?

yeah I thought so, I just wanted to send mine to someone and let them copy but yeah I guess it could be questionable in legal? Mine are not to bad, but would be nice to have fresh ones on the firewall.

Theres a place in Nevada? that makes a tag however you want it with perfect authenticity.....Some of the hardcore VW purists have used them for their show cars......Is it a YOM (year of manufacture) tag?

I think there was a guy on MUD who did some reproduction tags can't remember his sign maybe someone else can chime on this
