Hi Guys,
Cant find an answer for my problem using the search so here goes.
When I try to start my rig when warm/hot I hold the gas pedal to the floor and crank. It usually take about 3-4 cranks before it starts. Once it starts I let off the gas pedal it dies. To keep it running I have to try and keep the rpms @ 1000+ for a few seconds then it will idle fine @ 650. How do I fix this?
Cold starts are great. Fires over with no problems. Using the full choke one pump method as in the owners book. Fuel level is in the middle of the window. Fuel filter is flowing fine. I installed a new fuel pump with the motor swap. Fuel tank level dosen't affect the problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks all

Mine actually has the same issue. I don't know, but it may have something to do with the cruiser needing to build up the required vacuum in the hoses to reach stable operating conditions.

Wouldn't that affect cold starts also?

i've been dealing with warm starting/ running issues. i sprayed carb cleaner on the egr pipe and idle increased slightly. it's gonna suck replacing it but i think i found egr system problem. i hope.

I was also having trouble with warm starts, then I read an idea from somebody on the list. They did warm starts by not even touching the gas, I tried it and have not had a problem since.

When warm mine starts without pumping the pedal, no problem.

I tried starting with no gas yesterday. I had to crank it about 10-12 times before it would start.
