I recently purchased a 1999 LC which had inop power door locks but due to this site I was able to narrow it down to actuator motors and replaced them. My other issue is that my my key fob does not work so I manually have to unlock the doors but the car does not recognize the driver's door was unlocked so the alarm activates. In addition, when manually unlocking the driver's door with the key it does not unlock all of the other doors like the passenger or rear cargo do. I replaced a white switch/sensor that was attached to the back of the driver's door lock tumbler but that didn't do anything to resolve the issue. Any idea what could be causing this issue? Thanks!

I experienced all of the above issues. Replaced the actuator motors, didn't fix it. This yellow sensor was the issue for me. It wasn't catching on the lock so it wouldn't send a signal to the other doors. Fob wouldn't work either. I cleaned it up and zip-tied it tight. Haven't had an issue since! Key fob works, no alarm, all locks work properly! Be careful not to break the tabs if you pull it out.

I actually just replaced that sensor on mine thinking it was the culprit but it made no difference. I wonder if there is a fuse or relay from that sensor to wherever it sends the signal to that could be causing the issue. It's a pain having to unlock the passenger door or rear tailgate to enter so the alarm won't trip.

Yeah, it’s most likely connected to the drivers side door but who knows. I’d try to follow the wiring and see if you can find any breaks near the grommet. Maybe a fuse or relay as well. Follow up when you figure it out you can disconnect the loud alarm horn in the meantime.

Thanks for the info. Do you know where in the car that junction box is located? Will definitely update once it's all figured out.

Question on this photo. The tan/beige plastic mess with wires that controls the "follow me" locking system. After replacing two actuators I found this to be the issue on my LX. It was dry rotted and when I attempted to gently remove it turned to dust. My research tells me the only way to get another is to replace all five door lock cylinders that are discontinued. Can anyone confirm this or come up with a part number for the plastic "doohickey" that snaps to the back of the door lock? I would very much like to have keyless entry one day. Many thanks for the assistance in advance.

That sensor was available by itself last year when I fixed mine, however I ended up not needing it. I tried to find the part # today but didn't have much luck. If I can find it, I'll send it. It may be buried in a thread here somewhere.

Thank you! If you still have the unneeded sensor, I would love to purchase it from you. Let me know. I very much appreciate the search. I will continue as well.
