Another Newbie with a 40 in Alexandria

So after some 3 odd years if lusting, learning, and looking I got the fj40 I have wanted since I was 11 years old.. Some of you might actually know it as Felix's old 40- thanks felix! I have chased down the good part of the electrical issues it was experiencing and gotten things running a bit stronger- right now it is off at a shop getting exhaust, and a few other things I don't have time to mess with on my own. Anyways once I get it back expect the build thread.. Thinking running resto/ dd local. Just wanted to reach out to the club.

If its runnin good, drive it! Don't start tearin it down till winter. Nothing worse than having a beautiful day and no cruiser because its in pieces in the garage! Ask me how I know!

Of course Felix can sit in his (my) 40.

I am trying to avoid the slippery slope of getting in too deep too fast. It started with the rear turn signals and now has become a lemme check all these wires, strip and repaint this rusty skip plate before it gets worse, oh that transfer case seal is obviously pushing fluid into the transmission and I should fab up or order the return line, yeah these lights are going to get smashed so why not order a set of turn signal protectors for the price of 1 replacement taillight. My girlfirend is wondering what the hell I am always doing in my garage nowadays.

Expect me at a meeting once I get thing inspected and legally driveable (loose definition if my guy just floats me through as per usual)..
