Hi Folks,

Looking to get into a GX470. Found one a little ways away. The dealership has sent me these photos. What are your thoughts? I'm not too concerned from what I see but wanted your opinions! Any specific spots I should have them take a photo of?

Secondly does that look like a leaking CV boot?

Thanks in advance!

I can't imagine buying a 470 down here seeing that much orange. It looks mostly on the surface but me personally, I'd pass.

I'm not sure what they do with the roads up there in winter but I don't see that here.

Looks like a NE truck. It would take a little work to bring it around but it isn’t too far gone. Wire brush and some Fluid Film and she could be looking good again. I’d ask for better pics of the frame rails, IE: underneath and inside for any serious rust and a pic of the rear crossmember too.
And yes, the inner CV looks as if it had been seeping for awhile.

Hopefully it’s a really good price!

It only has 70k miles but they are asking $16500. The low mileage is tempting but it's not cheap! Everything else I'm seeing has at least double the mileage and not for half the price so I'm somewhat tempted....

Ask for pictures of the rear control arms and rear frame/crossmember like @joabmc said. Mine has a decent amount of surface rust and those areas are definitely the worst. Living in PA, I’ve seen and owned much worse (jeeps).
