Earlier today, my neighbor and I pulled a fat kid through his 2 foot wide window that was 5 feet above the ground. He was around 12 years old and way over 150 pounds.

His house was on fire and there was thick black smoke coming through every crevice of the house. We broke the secured bars off the window with my BFH (big fxxxing hammer) and smashed the window open. We yelled and looked in. But you couldn't see more than six inches and you couldn't breath. I tried to lift my neighbor in, but he wasn't having any of it and as I got up to look in once again and I see a white round figure about two feet in.

I grabbed him and pulled him to the the window and yelled at him to get out. He just stood there. So I tried to pull him up and through the window. At this time my neighbor noticed and helped me. But we still struggled to pull that fat kid up and through the window.

BFH came in real handy today.

Great job man! Your a HERO now! At least mine and that KID anyway... I know you did what anyone else would do, but hats off to you and your BFH, and pulling out the BFK thru the window!

That makes me feel good about people. I wonder how many would have just not even paid any attention...

Sounds like it could be a funny story when that kid is a little older.

also, +1 on being a hero.

Nice work Mike!!!!! That is one hell of an accomplishment that most people don't get to experience in a lifetime. It is a wonderful thing to help someone like that. Sadly not everyone would. You are clearly humble about your saving a life today but you should be proud. Well done.:clap:

I would like to see some pics of BFH

The whole thing is kind of weird.

Maybe if we're ever around a campfire drinking some beer, I'll tell you guys about it.

The short of it though, is that many neighbors helped out and the BFH was out since I was working on the cruiser and had my tools out. And my neighbor had the brains to go and get it.

About two months ago, we had someone die in a house fire down the street ten houses or so. There's still evidence of a fire as you drive pass the house. So I'm sure the neighborhood was aware of that.
