You have a Cummins did you expect less?
 
Sounds about right inline with me and others. Less if you hot rod it around I like to hear the turbo.
 
Mileage on the last tank, the second tank I've put on this motor.
292 miles for 70litres on 35's which by my math is 17MPG, does that sound right? My Canadian/American conversions might be off.
Thats about right. I average a consistent 18.

I wonder what causing your line to blow?
Is it the actual hide rupturing? Or is the connection failing?
Cummins PS pump pressure runs at 1500psi, which isn't that high for compression fittings that are rated well over 2k psi.

I think the steel line is too weak, I'm not using the cummins PS line, you can see the pic a few posts above where the flare broke off, that's right inside the pump port. I'm going to try to find a 90* fitting and a longer hydraulic hose to take the stress off the fitting
