Is the driver's door lock cylinder a special one with an electric switch included? It seems to be from this diagram. If so is anyone have a picture or a part number?

Hello,

There is an actuator that connects with the lock assembly by means of a link.

The lock assembly is specific to the actuator.

There is a connection with the control panel in the driver's side door. This panel has switches for the power windows (driver and passenger doors) and the locks.

The switch panel requires a specific armrest.

This is one of those things that get complicated quickly.

I have everything temporarily wired up on the bench. Door locks and electric windows (minus the driver's door lock mechanism with solenoid). I've even added a key fob option for activating the door locks!
I'm trying to work out sourcing the proper electric driver door lock mechanism that should have come with my original parts order now.

Regarding the driver's door electric lock mechanism....

Does the driver's door lock, when operated with the key, trigger the electric locks system?

On all the electric lock equipped LandCruisers I’ve had (60, 70 and 80 series). That said, I haven’t had an HZJ75 so I can’t say for sure that will be the case with yours, given how Toyota liked to change stuff for every market and model.
