Interestingly enough, the oil filter changed to the small -20004 filter in early 1996.

He will have to post a production month to get to the bottom of this ;)

When I saw this, I knew it was special. It's out of my comfort zone since I collect fj25's and 40's.
1996 Toyota Land Cruiser. 1 owner, never driven in the snow. 55,407 original miles. Rust proofed at Ziebart new.
Wonder how long I will keep this one? It's so nice I'm afraid to drive it!
Every receipt since new. I believe I even have every registration since new!
Truly one of the nicest in the country. It even still has it's original Michelin tires.
Below are some photos. Keep in mind this is how I found it. I haven't even washed it or swept it out yet. Original floor mats were never even put in the vehicle.

Nice find! Low mileage vehicles can have their own issues from under use. But generally easier to address. I would not drive one more mile on original tires, though. Manufacturers claim they’re good for 10 years, but six years is a safer cut off, which engineers will admit privately. 23 years is pushing it… :)

Thanks for taking my call this evening. This is a great piece of history. I doubt that it will ever see mud or even dirt again. Of course there is a part of me that just wants to drive it from Maine to California just to say I did it. Then build it and wheel it! Yea right, that won't happen. But driving it another 1000 miles after some tires and general maintenance would be an awesome experience. GLWS, it's awesome!

A few more pics. Original title, death certificate of original owner, registrations (many years it was never driven just stored), pile of receipts

Theres a 1HDFT one with under 8,000 klm (5,000 miles) on car sales if you can stomach the 80K ask....

So mint you still get that matte feel of the interior. Wood trim and sand color exterior is disappointing though.

Btw is your brake fluid low? Thanks for sharing this museum piece. Lovely.

I love original rigs. My two are Uber low mile models that are driven and enjoyed on sunny days. Spend the time and money to bring this up to perfection or sell it to a preservationist like me at a nice profit Enjoy your find! It is beautiful!!!!! My 02 only has 68k now my 91 is almost done and only has 128k miles

If the title is still in the PO's name that will be a problem for the new owner when he wants to transfer it since it has someone else's name on it too.

Damn. Yeah, you wouldn't want me getting ahold of that specimen...
