Amada Shocks
I have one set of AMADA Extremes (factory in THAILAND) on my LC II (13B-T) and I installed them AUGUST last year (2011). I run no SWAY bar on the front removed for the GOD winch. So the front moves around a bit more than normal.
In February 2012 I pulled the front two down after a TRIP as one fellt squishy. Turns out the bottom bolt had fallen out. due to poor installation. The front two shocks were SERVICED and minor adjustment made to the DAMPENING to make them both COMP spec. No seals had gone nothing and I drive this 4x4 HARD.
Handling is good (very good) still need to stiffen up the REAR shocks a little
It is used on/in JUNGLE, ROAD, GRAVEL (sorry no SNOW or ICE) I do not care I just drive it and hard.
The NEWER AMADA's have had the seal design changed to prevent leakage which was a problem on earlier models. The dampening has been improved by COMP guys and the australians providing feedback and assistance I believe.
I have another set on TOYOTA HILUX whch is a HANDBAG highway car and this also gets driven hard - FANTASTIC is all I can say been installed since MARCH 2011. Done 40,000k and still going no leakage nothing.
I am going to get a CUSTOM set of the new PIGGY back shocks made for my Volvo C304 which will weigh in just over 6,000lb empty.
My other LC II will get a set of PROFIRMERs from THAILAND just for comparisons sake later this year.
So far no complaints about them except they were set SOFT (the first dealer I used in Malaysia was an absolute ARSE the one I use now is just wonderful advise, setup and resetting the shocks no issue. Only issue is he is 130k away
