Hey ih8mudders,

Have you guys heard of this brand? They're selling the adventure shocks pretty cheap in my country and I'm very very curious about it but I couldn't find any information on the net.

Any info would be helpful. Because of the price, I might just go with these Amada Xtreme's instead of Ironman's or OME's.

Thanks delancy but I was looking towards consumer reviews hahaha. I saw that already but i want to know feedback from people who've run them. They sound pretty good though for a start-up.

Soo... Any hearsay or rumors or whatnot about these shocks forum guys?

It's so quiet I'm starting to doubt the quality of the shocks based on the silence hahaha

Amada Shocks

I have one set of AMADA Extremes (factory in THAILAND) on my LC II (13B-T) and I installed them AUGUST last year (2011). I run no SWAY bar on the front removed for the GOD winch. So the front moves around a bit more than normal.

In February 2012 I pulled the front two down after a TRIP as one fellt squishy. Turns out the bottom bolt had fallen out. due to poor installation. The front two shocks were SERVICED and minor adjustment made to the DAMPENING to make them both COMP spec. No seals had gone nothing and I drive this 4x4 HARD.

Handling is good (very good) still need to stiffen up the REAR shocks a little

It is used on/in JUNGLE, ROAD, GRAVEL (sorry no SNOW or ICE) I do not care I just drive it and hard.

The NEWER AMADA's have had the seal design changed to prevent leakage which was a problem on earlier models. The dampening has been improved by COMP guys and the australians providing feedback and assistance I believe.

I have another set on TOYOTA HILUX whch is a HANDBAG highway car and this also gets driven hard - FANTASTIC is all I can say been installed since MARCH 2011. Done 40,000k and still going no leakage nothing.

I am going to get a CUSTOM set of the new PIGGY back shocks made for my Volvo C304 which will weigh in just over 6,000lb empty.

My other LC II will get a set of PROFIRMERs from THAILAND just for comparisons sake later this year.

So far no complaints about them except they were set SOFT (the first dealer I used in Malaysia was an absolute ARSE the one I use now is just wonderful advise, setup and resetting the shocks no issue. Only issue is he is 130k away :(

Thank you for the above thread and response.

@cicak - Hey bro, any more news on the Amadaxtreme? I am going for a front and rear change and was looking for either profender or Amadaextreme. Please advise.

I had the amarda extreme in my 80 there an ok shock for the price but u pay for what u get. If ur just wheeling on the weekend go for em but if u do anything else don't bother.

I found the 80 drove like crap and handled like a boat. Swapped them out for a set of radflos and it's so much better with more travel as well.

Thanks for your feedback. My rig is used for a weekend foray to the Sandy deserts of Arabia.

How much did the radlos set you back by? I heard they are better than kings for the bypass. I have a limited budget.

Thanks mate....i believe you are correct, these are really cheap. The LC 80 in UAE is not very popular anymore unfortunately. We have the Y62 Nissan Patrol and the LC 200 and FJ and Jeep Rubicons here, so theres not much options for suspension.

I bought Dobinson springs which were with a dealer for a long time and he gave me a good price for them. Now I am looking for the shocks. Its a pity shipping is so expensive else I would have ordered from overseas...thanks for the link, I will bookmark it. Cheers

Which springs did you buy? Do you remember? FYI, Dobinsons will now be stocking an assortment of products here in Miami. Maybe that's a bit closer to you than Australia!!
