What is everyone running? Looking at sheets of 0.080 Alodine aluminum - think this is roughly the thickness/material used for street signs.

Had a new cage done last year and can't use the old SOR family tops I have, am past having a windshield, so time to install something permanent.

Thanks. Bill.

Cardboard template, .080 AL and a circular saw should get you what you want pretty quick. Alloy of aluminum doesn’t matter unless you want to put sharp bends in it.

If you use steel you can bend/form it to the cage and weld it straight to the tube. You can use a 1/16 cut off disc on a angle grinder to cut it as you go. No need for fasteners or tabs.
