Got it in this afternoon. There's something about new parts compared to the old... I'm also working on the A/C clutch assembly at the moment. The whole front of the motor will have new bearings after these two.

Got both of those done this morning and my A/C clunk is gone and my alternator doesn't whine anymore! Whoop!

Interested to know how easily the A/C clutch assy. came apart and went back together.
Air-con compressor magnetic clutch change
Ya know it's not too bad. Unlike him though, my replacement came with a new stator, that was the hardest part because of the electrical connection and a teeny screw hidden on the compressor. I didn't have to use a screw or extractor to get anything apart. The clips are a PITA though. The truck has 203k and the bearing was close to exploding, the seal was gone
