Hey, guys there used to be a Sub-forum for alternative fuels I believe it was under the Diesel fuel section
I just noticed it's missing now too bad as there used to be a lot of good useful information in there. and there was quite a bit of member running alternate fuels.

it being SVO/WVO/WMO ETC...

It's probably been a while and I may now be the only one looking for it.

I run my early 2L on 20% biodiesel. Mostly to compensate with ULSD's terrible lubricity (thanks EPA)

I have B50-ish in my Bj73 (half tank fill of B100 then mixed with regular diesel). I would be interested in at least a thread on here discussing it. I had to search through a lot of old ones on here to figure out the filter setup. Here is my collection of notes on good threads on the subject:

General notes:

Hoses/Filters:

So I’m not dreaming there was a sub forum around 2018 not sure why it was removed but great content on it.

I am interested but have not summoned the testicles. Have collected about 300l used veg oil. Probably would make bio rather than use svo. Have nearly replaced all fuel lines with viton, except fuel tank filler rubber hose. Would kind of prefer a stainless fuel tank too, caustic stuff.

I am rebuilding a spare 2h and put a viton o ring where the pump mates to the engine.

But it takes time and thorough research.
Just keeping my old truck running sweet and filling at bowser is enough for for now, family and finances.
I think it would be more for personal satisfaction than anything else when you look at the state of the world and what it does.

I have met a pro diesel mechanic who says nothing is wrong with it as long as done properly.

Sorry, I haven’t been around in a while.

I believe woody removed the subforum and merged the threads into the main diesel section. Existing threads can however be found by using the prefix filter at the top of the page and you can add the prefix to threads you create.

Ok thanks for clarification. I was worried all good knowledge on alt-fuels was lost.
