my 40 now has hydraulic assist steering. finished installing the ram today! and it works! almost done with the transmission pan skid plate. pics of all below.

a buddy I work with bought a nice bender. but, he only has 1 die, so I had to get tubing to match. otherwise is would cost $15 per bend.
at $60, it was cheaper to buy a whole stick of tubing and have lots left over. I'm gonna make a better rear roll bar/cage with it.

Looks good Shawn! If you get a chance, some pictures of the BHCC would be great. I've never been (so far at least), and I'd like to hear more about it.

Jill will get many pics. she is my personal expert 4x4 photographer.
it's a little different than CM. you sign up for the trails the night before the run. but there is easy to super hard core trails. I'll come back with vids and pics of the harder trails for you!

ahh, got it. I don't have a good cage for the rear seats. it's a stock roll bar back there, I want a 'family cage'. to buy, they are several hundred $. I can build it mostly with the left over tubing. plus the gain in fabrication skills.

Not the first time somebody gave me crap about something on this forum. Although, I'm seeing a trend. It used to just be Ali. Then John F. jumped on the bandwagon. Now Jon, Rudy and Shawn. I'm going to take my ball and go home.

oh, and I'm done with the 40 for the trip. skid plate is in. trans pan leaks no matter what I do. transmission shop had the same problem last year. I installed 2 different style gaskets, and gasket maker, still leaks. slowly, so I'll let it go for now. still need to pack for this trip.
