Well finally got my own truck after working on everyone else's rig's. I purchased this 1989 FJ 62 all stock with the exception of the Hell Creek Suspension from Cajun65. Really great guy and very upfront about the truck. I knew there wouldn't be any issues. She Made the drive from Youngsville La. without a hitch. Already got the to do things written up. So finally....I can call it MINE!!!! And yes I already had it in the mud! :flipoff2:

I was there the day we found out about this truck and took it on it's maiden voyage of a test drive.

Marty loved that truck every minute he had it. Because of job changes and gas prices she had to go. I wish he could keep it but I'm glad it didn't go far and went to a mudder. It's like marrying off a daughter... bittersweet. Welcome to the family .

Treat her well... she's sweet.

Good luck to you and post up some pics when you can in BSLCA room. We'd love to see her journey.

Congrats to you.

It sure was a nice drive. Good weather and as soon as I got home the wife had to see what it would do. I will keep you all posted on it's progress and be very assured she will be one great rig. Maybe the next time I can come down and meet up with you all and let you take her for a trail ride. Or if you make it up this way you have my #. And she is now a part of the family!

Nice truck Randy,

Are you going to keep the drivetrain stock? or are you going to RT Customize it? I'm sure you will enjoy it...

Well I can't really give you a welcome, but here's one for the nice new rig:flipoff2:

enjoy it :D

So when can we yank the motor?
Call me. :)

Well the plan is to do all my exterior modifications and work on fixing the mechanical as I go. If something major happens to the engine or tranny...OUT IT GOES! By then I should have all the stuff I need for a Duramx install or an LS series. Just want to drive it for awhile before I start hardcore wrenching.

Plans last until the first shot is fired....

Just say when.

Randy - just do the same thing you did to Michelle's 3FE motor, then drop in one of those extra 4 speeds I have, and your set!! ;)

Great looking truck! Hu...where are you going to mount the bottle opener? :flipoff2:

:D Just as soon as I get the bumpers finished off on it goes! I have a new intake, injectors and throttle body all ready set up. Doing the brakes, Exhaust and sliders tomorrow! New defender driving light cage and Hella black magic 7.5 driving lights are on the way. Sooner or later I will get the new plates on it... RTCSTM. :grinpimp:
