Alerts need to be tweaked

It is nice that I can go to "Alerts" at the top right of my screen and see easily where I need to go. But why can't I go there with one click (or am I missing something)?

What I mean is .............. I may be able to see there that someone has posted a fresh reply to one of my "watched threads". So I want to go straight to that reply. However I can't see that option. Instead it appears to me that I can only (from that screen) click to the start of this particular "watched thread".

I hate wasting time....

Can you admin guys (or anyone else) help?

Hmm....every time I've clicked an alert, its gone directly to the post as it should...and lately, I get a LOT of alerts!

Never mind.... Clicking on the thread title in the alert does appear to be taking me to the last post now (rather than the first page).

I wonder if I simply imagined a problem that never existed or whether those hard working admin people fixed it while I was constructing the thread.. Probably the former ... (I promise to be less hasty in the future...)

Speaking of alerts... is there any way to clear the list? I was getting too many and I adjusted my alert preferences but I'd like to be able to clear the list periodically.

don't believe so...it's simply a running tally.

I find putting the mouse pointer over the "alerts" tab without clicking is the best way Mark.

Then it gives me only the latest alerts.

(Trouble is ... I keep forgetting not to click.)
