Hey, looks like this got moved. I know there's not an overwhelming amount of tech, but it has helped with tech issues on the trip. Can we get it moved back?

One question. As I was working, amazingly my carb cooling fan came on. It turned out that I was grounding this wire, which looks like it was burned at some point in time:

I was actually grounding a bare portion of the wire against the fitting for the brake cylinder. It looks like a fuse link in line, so I didn't ground it. Should I be looking for the temp sensor at the end of this wire?

Curtis was saying the theory goes that if you just ground the carb cooling fan, it just runs for 15 minutes after shutoff. True?

In all seriousness, I've met a bunch of great guys on the trip, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all again. Tom, my girlfriend asks me on a regular basis when we're heading up to see you in AK.

FWIW, I gotta figure how to email you a video of a heartbeat, things are going great here so I shot a video of the monitor to share. We're still trying to figure out how to travel ourselves this summer and this whole thread still makes us jealous, so I can safely say I am humbly glad to have been a small part of it.

Now, go take more scenic pics and stop breaking things! Maybe some Sunrises and Sunsets perhaps??
