Greetings all!

I've received the timing kit TKT-021 from RockAuto, and everything seems to pass inspection except for the belt itself. Please refer to the pictures below for details:
  1. The white lettering appears to be misaligned.
  2. There are noticeable stitches underneath the belt, positioned across from each other.
  3. Overall, there's a lingering doubt about its authenticity.
What do you all think?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like the same belt I have received in 3 Aisin TKT-021 timing belt kits.

Thanks! The first thing that caught my attention was the crooked 'L-CAM' marker. While I've never had any problems with RockAuto before, I might just be a bit overly cautious.

I recently purchased that kit around 4 months ago from RockAuto and everything is fine so far. I have to assume RockAuto is a lot less likely to have counterfeit parts than basically any other marketplace, outside the dealer

I bought the same Aisin kit from Rockauto last fall. I ordered a Conti-Tech belt and set the Aisin belt aside. The Aisin belt is still in the wrapper, not sure of any quality issues history but I fully trust Conti belts.

I just ordered that kit on Amazon from a link in these forums along with the fan pulley. When it arrives I'll see if it's similar...
I just bought my lx470 with 189kmiles on it. Not gonna take any chances so I'm going to try and tackle the timing belt, water pump, among various other things to put my mind at ease. The PO swears it was done but the coolant doesn't look great so I doubt it was done recently.
This is my first 100 so far the information here and on YouTube regarding these is amazing.

Welcome to the forum @RPCR! If you own any Land Cruisers, you've come to the right place—this forum is an invaluable resource.
I think I have the legit kit from Rock Auto; It's just that I've never seen a crooked print before, so it might have been a rare printing error unless anyone else believe otherwise. I generally order from CruiserTeq but I didn't need the extra seals that comes with the kit.
