Anyone used one of these Aisan IAC's? The Toyota part is 22270-66011 but it's like $300. This appears to be the same part for about half the price:

I know Aisin water pumps are available from sources other than Toyota for less, so it's not unprecedented. However, it's also possible that these are just chinese junk. Thoughts?

I have used Amazon in the past to order Aisin parts. The water pump I ordered had the Toyota branding ground off of it and an Aisin sticker stuck on it. Its a good price and looks the part. Pull the trigger.

That one on Ebay says Toyota, Japan, and Aisin on it and it also has the correct part number.
For half the price of usual, I would be very tempted to buy it.
Aisan 22270-46050 and 22270-66010 Idle speed control valve is a legitimate part number. Will suit FJ80 landcruiser 1992-1998 and other Toyota variants. Aisan is part of Toyota Group and you can be re assured ot the quality. The part is Made in Japan. I am sourcing this product from Grandado.com.AUS. It is available on Amazon and Aliexpress et al. Ebay has various resellers and Caveat Emptor as to pricing. Therefore shop around. Will report as soon as I get the item from China,.

Resurrecting an old thread.

With a new IAC for my '94 being unobtanium, and the '95-97 part being compatible but still pricy, I decided to try an Aisan part for a couple of hundred less.

It arrived today and has Toyota branding on the logo, despite the box only being marked Aisan.

Maybe an alternative for more cost conscious buyers?

Where did you buy?

Ebay, seller "caridautoparts", their store is CARiD Autoparts, shipped from NJ.

Stolen parts from Chinese manfacturing lines. One more reason not to have parts made there.

The sticker says made in Japan. Although I suppose you could make a sticker that says whatever you want... Is there some way I could tell it is something made in China, not Japan?

Nope. Parts that come off of legitimate assembly lines are legitimate parts. They are either stolen outright or they are quality rejects that were supposed to have been destroyed. We had the same problem with Mexico, when the assembly lines went there, before they left Mexico and went to China. It's been going on for years.

Anytime you see "genuine" parts or products for sale a 10% of retail, that's why.

I had no idea. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it was acquired that way.

But did it solve your idle issue?
It didn't. It helped some, but I still got some hunting and low idle when in a drive gear AC off.

I added to my "YAIT - Yet Another Idle Thread" - but unplugging the O2 sensors made the 80 idle like a sewing machine under all tested conditions. So that is a good clue. Not a solution... But a clue...
