My airbag warning light on my 2000 Landcruiser is flashing. Owner’s manual says take it to the dealer. Any suggestions before I resort to that step?

You can do a self diagnostic and possibly reset it. Search “SRS reset” here

Download the manual. You can jump the maintenance port in the engine bay to see what the issue is, or get an OBD reader to get the codes. Over time I’ve had to have both front seatbelts rebuilt to clear the light.

w/r obd readers: not all read srs codes. look for one that actually states reading srs codes for toyota lc. Ask me how I know.
Yep, and even the ones that say they do, sometimes don’t. The most reliable ways here Techstream or a manual code read/reset per the FSM.

Note: an SRS reset won’t fix the ongoing problem that is causing it. The light will just come back if there’s a broken circuit or faulty sensor. Reset is only good after one-time triggering events.
