My airbag warning light on my 2000 Landcruiser is flashing. Owner’s manual says take it to the dealer. Any suggestions before I resort to that step?

Note: an SRS reset won’t fix the ongoing problem that is causing it. The light will just come back if there’s a broken circuit or faulty sensor. Reset is only good after one-time triggering events.
