Airbag Light

I have a 2000 LC & the SRS warning light stays on. The computer returned an undocumented code of 99 which should indicate that the system is working ok (since the code number is higher than all the fault codes). Alldata does not have a value for a code 99.
Tech says when computer is hooked up to Toyota 1 connector under hood (as opposed to OBD 2 connector0) the VSC & ABS light also flash with no fault codes.
Our concern is that the SRS sytem is not working since the light stays on BUT we are getting a code that indicates the system is working. Any thoughts? THANKS!!!!
