Air Box Thing

Which way does this air box thing go on? I think it’ll fit either way.

Also, what’s the smaller round opening for? Should I plug it?

I don't know about the part that goes on the air box, other than it lives in the fender; but the small round hole is for the threaded stud the stick up from the bottom half and uses a wing nut to hold the top cover down.

Yes, look at the picture above. The rectangular air intake is oriented upward. The smaller round opening is plugged into the air resonator.

Quick update. I plugged the resonator hole. For anyone interested in doing the same (not sure why you would if you have the resonator), the cap from a grease tube fits perfectly.
