I want to flush/bleed the AHC fluid in my 2008 LX 570. I did this on my 2007 LX 470 and the old fluid came out dirty with some small bubbles in it. The result was a slightly smoother ride and me sleeping soundly at night ;)

Does anyone know the procedure to bleed the AHC on a 200 Series? I assume it is the same....fill the reservoir with new fluid, raise AHC to the HIGH setting and start bleeding with the nipple (accumulator) furthest from the reservoir. Repeat until all four corners have clean fluid.

Any tips?

The 200 series doesn't have AHC.

Mine does!

I asked my dealer to service my AHC prior to extensive towing and off-roading this summer. They said it didn't need to be serviced. But they did show me how to check the fluid level.

The fluid reservoir is behind a panel in the right rear wheel well.

I have not done any service to mine at 50k miles. But I have the same question.

Ok if I am reading this correctly from your signature you have a LEXUS 570....NOT a 200 series LC. LC's don't have AHC, but the Lexus 470's and 570's do.

So I guess my point to your original post is that I don't know how many 570 or 470 owners we have here. So I don't know how much help you will get here.

dtt

The LX and LC are both considered 200 series. There is a good mix of LC and LX owners on this site. Many of the current 570 owners had 470s in the past, like myself.

So, it is a fair question - how to change the AHC fluid. But it doesn't appear that anything has been posted yet.

OK if YOU want to consider the LX and LC the same truck then fine, but they are not. SPECIFICALLY the AHC makes the LX a different vehicle. There are similarities like the Tundra and the LC but they are NOT the same vehicle. Toyota does not and neither do aftermarket manufacturers consider it the same vehicle. BUT if you are so inclined...feel free.

I didn't say it wasn't a fair question, I just said that the LC doesn't have AHC so I don't know how much help he would get on a LC forum. That's all. Don't like my sensable answer....sorry.

The Lexus is actually the 201 series, TLC is normally 200 and alot of the RHD fall under 202 series.

Not trying to fuel the fire, but LC's in Europe DO have AHC. I have an LX and have not done anything to it at 40K miles.

I have never that before in the 5 years ... But it can be new or I just never heard it before.

Yes, 200's in North America and Australia do not get AHC, but the rest of the World does.

I am pretty sure it has been that way since the 200 was first produced. It isn't standard, but optional.

Hi, All the European TLC 200's have AHC on them. Visit any of the european Toyota sites. As for how long they've come as a standard option, no clue. The LX570 however is not available anywhere in Europe; grey market only.

Ok this is what I was saying about the 200 series IN AMERICA does not have AHC.

Ok so there we go. European ones do...US models don't.

Gotta remember the US market for TLC 200 is actually one of the smaller regions. In 2011 alone the company I work with in the Middle East armored almost the same number of TLC 200 as the USA total sales (1500).

2012 the USA sales did increase to 2,800 and I havent seen the 2013 numbers yet. The UAE alone (same size as South Carolina) sales more then twice the number that is sold in USA and Canada together (is from what I was told at a Toyota Middle East dinner I went to)

Toyota Oman (with the largest toyota dealership and service center with almost 900 service bays in its main Muscat dealership alone.) has sales numbers that are just un-believable but alot of that is because they are the key dealership for export to africa.

Doesn't surprise me.
One note ( and a sad one), Canada hasn't seen a land cruiser model since the 80's. I think 89 was the last year to sell here, and there may have been some 70 series in the 90s.

That being said, there are some mining towns that have dealerships that sell 70 series mine trucks (not for use on roads).

My god. That place must be the size of a city. I wonder what the parts dept is like? I wonder if they need a manager?
